Is Artist Anywhere appropriate for my project or facility?
The Artist Anywhere Cloud Studio and the Production Suite have been used on productions as large as 10,000+ shots and as small as 100 shots. We have supported features, streaming, and broadcast, in animation, live action, virtual production, and games. We have also supported facilities serving clients for commercials, animation, visual effects, and games with I/O, artist tools, and custom development.
How long does it take to set up Artist Anywhere?
The Artist Anywhere Cloud Studio is configured via automation within a day. The Production Suite requires the Flow Production Tracking (FlowPT) site license and clone of the AA template, which can take Autodesk up to five days (usually one or two). Concurrently a naming convention meeting will be held, and the configuration will be released shortly afterwards. Customized workflows, like those for Facility I/O teams, may require additional time and testing.

Do I need a Flow Production Tracking license?
Yes, you need to get your Flow Production Tracking site licensed by Autodesk with two users available for the Artist Anywhere team. Autodesk can provide yearly licenses, which is generally a cost savings, as well as monthly users. Some resellers can sell FlowPT licenses as well.
Do I need to use the Artist Anywhere Template for Flow Production Tracking?
It is not required to use our template. However, most of our clients prefer our template as we have highly customized it for Studio operations and integrating with our tools.
How do I handle my naming conventions?
During onboarding, the Artist Anywhere team will work with you to set up the naming conventions for your show, and we can modify them over the production as needed.
Do I need any training to use the platform?
We include customized training on all Artist Anywhere tools for our clients. We do suggest you have previous experience and/or training in Flow Production Tracking (formerly Shotgun/ShotGrid). We can provide guidance and materials on training if requested.
Can I customize the Flow Production Tracking Template myself?
Yes, you can customize the template for your workflow. Note that some fields are required for Artist Anywhere tools to work; we are more than happy to provide guidance in training.
Is custom development for additional tools or automation available?
Yes we provide custom development, which is tracked on an hourly basis. Some contracts include custom development hours, please ask about it!
